Unbeatable heliskiing trips at THL

From Jakarta to Greenland or Argentina to Russia, our clients are truly an international crowd. This page will help you learn all you need to know about getting to TLH Heliskiing and insuring yourself for any unexpected events…and the expected events too – like lost luggage which seems to be an added service of air travel these days!

  1. Traveling to TLH Heliskiing
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is suggested for all inbound travellers. We highly recommend that ALL travellers use their passports as their primary document of personal identification. Please be sure to pack your ski/board boots as carry-on luggage. In the event of lost luggage, we can always assist you with locating other outerwear, but happy feet make happy heliskiers !!

Ground transfers from the airport to your hotel are not included with your heliski package. Taxi fare is generally around CAD $30. Limousine transfers can be arranged in advance as part of your package. Return ground transfers from either Vancouver or Whistler are included as part of your heliski package. Heli-transfer can also be arranged which reduces the transfer time to 1.1 hours versus 6.1 via ground transfer.

  2. Trip Cancellation Insurance
This coverage can be purchased through TLH Heliskiing, your travel agent or perhaps you have such coverage with your credit card? Trip Cancellation Insurance is a mandatory element of any heliski trip with TLH Heliskiing. Other types of travel insurance we recommend are:

      Medical Insurance
Please ensure that you have appropriate out-of-country medical coverage for the entire length of your planned visit to the great white north (a.k.a. CANADA).

      Helicopter Evacuation Insurance
This additional coverage can be purchased upon arrival to the lodge. This protection covers you in the event that we have to fly you from ‘the field’ back to the lodge. SOME insurance policies cover this service but many policies DO NOT include this heli-evacuation feature. Please ensure you have this coverage.

Personal insurance to cover loss of baggage,
      skis and personal belongings

Make sure these insurances cover you while you are in Canada. Your travel agent will be happy to advise you and send you the appropriate documentation.
